Operation of airless spray pump 3 way valve on air supply

BlastOne’s Master Technician, Kerry Cooper, discusses the operation of the airless spray pump 3 way valve on air supply

This particular air valve here is a three-way valve. That’s off, on, and in the middle of the actuation. So, between off and on is venting.

So, what that pump — that valve does is the air will exhaust out the small hole — heat hole here.

So, when I want to make sure that there’s no air in this particular air line and it has been eye sighted at the compressor, I can put that in this in between mode which will exhaust out that valve.

You can hear it quite distinctly that it’s exhausting the air that’s contained within this pressurized line section.

Once it’s exhausts, I would leave it in that mode, primarily, because if someone turns the air back on; this will start to exhaust and on.

I’ll be alerted to the fact straightaway that the machine, which in this case, is the compressor.

Someone has started to operate it again whilst I’m working on this pump.

The other important thing to do is, you can also take this hose off or take it off at the compressor in.

My assistant taking it off the compressor in. So, this hose cannot be compressed with air.
