How to Find Out if Your Airless Hose is Restricted or Blocked

A BLOCKED PAINT LINE CAN HINDER YOUR PERFORMANCE
A blocked, restricted or paint hose that’s the wrong size can cause a decrease in productivity. Testing your spray pattern on a regular basis will save you time in the long run and will make sure you continue to stay as efficient as possible.
A few things to look out for:
An irregular spray pattern
Light spray pattern
If you are using an old airless hose, you will not receive a correct spray pattern from your spray tip.
There will not be enough paint let through due to the lessened pressure.
Typically, if there is blockage, its from dried paint on the inside of the hose. This will slow down production and you will end up wasting paint.

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

If you are having an uneven spray pattern or paint is dripping, you most likely have a low pressure issue.

CHECKING YOUR PRESSURE

To test your pressure, take the gun off and look to see if there is a consistent stream coming from the pump, versus just a drizzle.
