Greetings and welcome to this week’s Prime Insight! My name is Gavin Gooden. I’m the marketing director here at Blastone.
We’ve got a customer with a problem of blasting vertical surfaces and the pressure in the hose and the abrasive in water from wet blasting is actually flowing back into the pot causing him some troubles with his glass machine.
So, what we found and what we recommend is when you’re blasting vertical surfaces is to calculate the height that you’re blasting at. And you need 10 to 20 percent of that height for the hose to run flat on the ground.
So, for example, saying you’re blasting a tank which is 50 feet higher that means you need 5 to 10 feet of blast hose on the flat ground before it goes vertical. This will give the abrasive and water, that’s in a web busting system, somewhere to go when you stop blasting.
We trust that helps you on your next elevated project. Thanks for watching this week’s Prime Insight. See you next week!
