PROJECT BACKGROUND

Northwest Pipe Company specializes in the fabrication of steel pipes primarily for fresh water applications. Their commitment to quality and innovation has made them a leader in their industry. The primary objective of this project was to address the challenge of overspray during the polyurethane application process. Northwest Pipe Company needed a custom paint booth solution that would contain overspray, exhaust VOCs, and seamlessly integrate with their existing inline conveyor system.

CHALLENGES

The unique challenge in this project was designing and building a booth around an existing inline conveyor system while ensuring effective sealing for pipes of different diameters. Containing overspray and managing VOCs were critical aspects that needed to be addressed for a safer and more efficient working environment.

SOLUTION

Leveraging experience and understanding of the client’s needs, BlastOne offered a custom paint booth solution measuring 18’W x 15’H x 10’L, equipped with a Make-Up Air Unit. This solution was tailored to meet the specific requirements of Northwest Pipe Company, ensuring efficient containment of overspray and effective ventilation to mitigate VOCs.
