Description
WHAT IS A THOMPSON VALVE?
The Thompson Valve is an ingeniously simple abrasive metering valve to meter your abrasive flow much more accurately than any conventional valve.
As the heart of the abrasive blasting machine, the Thompson valve acts as the carburetor to allow abrasive media to flow grain by grain into the high pressure air stream. Arguably the best abrasive blasting valve ever created. A must for all sandblast equipment.
As a brainchild of Mr Bob Thompson, the Thompson valve carries his legendary name
This valve is the second in the Thompson valve series and retrofits any sandblast pot or blast hopper currently fitted with Thompson valve series 1
In fact when retrofitted onto an old Blast Machine, operators tell us that the pot lasts twice as long, before running out!
The Virtual Position Indicator (VPI) provides a visual gauge of how far the valve is open. Graduation marks make precise measuring simple – no more counting turns of the knob.
This normally closed valves are standard on multiple outlet abrasive Blast machines & sand blasters so each operator can work independently of any other.
The Thompson II Valve is a fail-safe valve, giving optimum abrasive blasting operator safety.
The distinct blue knob helps with identification of the thompson valve at a distance.
On shut off, it cuts the abrasive flow to the nozzle and seals the blasting hopper or blast tank at the same instant.
This is the metering valve of choice for abrasive blasting specialists.
Fast Start/Stop for Spot Blasting For those projects where you must only blast small areas or rust spots, you’ll appreciate the very fast on/off control the Thompson II Valve allows.
Blast a spot there and another over here without “dragging” the blast and damaging the coating in between.
Can be fitted to most slurry blasters, mist blasters, soda blasters, amphi-blasters, vapour blasters
The Thompson II Valve gives almost instantaneous starting and stopping control Abrasive blast Cut off and Blowdown Option A remote abrasive cut-off is available for Thompson Valve systems, allowing you to stop the flow of abrasive, while continuing to blow air only.
This provides a quick and easy way to clear the abrasive blast or shot blast hose and to blow the blasting area clean of abrasive – Just flick the optional switch at the Deadman handle.
